Arise Nicolette Coffee Company

Our story

Same room. A new name.

The Arise Nicolette Coffee Company name in black lettering above the long fireplace, a hammered-silver drum table in front.

Before it was Arise, this space on Nicollet Avenue was Jojo's Coffee, and plenty of Burnsville felt it when Jojo's closed. On June 24, 2021, a mother and daughter reopened the doors as Arise Nicolette Coffee Company.

They kept what people loved about the room, a long, bright space with couches by the fire, high tops, a patio and a meeting room in back, and gave it a cleaner, more modern look. The bar opens at 6:30 on weekdays. Breakfast is made when you order it. The board turns over with the seasons.

It's woman owned and locally owned, and it calls itself what it is: your neighborhood cafe. The thing regulars bring up first, over and over, is the people behind the counter.

Inside Arise: the bakery case, the espresso bar and the dining room beyond.
